MADONNA UNIVERSITY, NIGERIA

Madonna University is a private Catholic University approved by the Federal Government in 1999. The University, the first of its kind in West African Sub region took off in a place called Okija, near Onitsha in Anambra State, Nigeria. This informed the initial name of the University- Madonna University, Okija.

However, in 2004, by approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC), the main campus of the University was relocated to Elele, Rivers State, Nigeria. In 2011, a third campus of the University was cited in Akpugo, Enugu State, Nigeria.

Following from the above changes, the University was rebranded as Madonna University, Nigeria
