The Department of Law, is located within the Madonna University, Okija Campus and offers a course leading to the award of the degree of bachelor of laws (LL.B) and covers Commercial Law, Private Law, Public International Law and Jurispruden, Public Law.
The aims of the course can be summarized as follows:
To provide the much desired middle level manpower needed in our judicial system.
To create an awareness of the basic principles of law which affect relationships and transactions in the Nigerian society.
To examine candidates in their ability to understand and apply basic principles of law in any given situation.
FULL TIME UME (5-YRS) DE (4-YR)
Joint Matriculation Entry Mode:
A candidate for admission into law Faculty must possess at least SSS certificate, or G.C.E O Level with credit passes in five (5) subjects, including, English language and English literature obtained at not more than two sittings. Such a candidate must also have acceptable pass in the JME.
Through Direct Entry Mode:
Candidates must possess:
A two year or three-year diploma certificate plus credit in three (3) papers including English language and English literature in the SSS certificate Examination or G.C.E O level to their equivalent; or
Three (3) papers at principal or Advanced Level in High school certificate Examination or G.C.E O level to their equivalent ;or
Two (2) papers at principal or Advanced level in HSC or G.CE plus credit in three (3) other papers (including English language and English literature) in SSS.
